Amano Shrimp (Caridina multidentata), also known as Yamato Shrimp, grow about twice as large as dwarf shrimp and typically live a longer lifespan. Unlike most dwarf shrimp species, Amano Shrimp only reproduce in brackish water, so they will almost never breed in a home aquarium.
