Mystery snails are one of the most popular options for the freshwater aquarium hobby. They are very active at eating algae off the glass/acrylic, decorations, and plants. They are completely peaceful and thus make a very good option for community tanks. One of the coolest things about these guys is that they have 2 different methods of breathing. They can breathe through their gills or also through a tube they have which they use at the top of the water line and move back forth to take in air. T
